KK Integrated Shipping has announced the sale of the Lewis J. Kuber and the James L. Kuber to Rand Logistics Inc. the parent company of Lower Lakes Towing LLC. and Grand River Navigation. KKIS purchased the two ships from the former Oglebay Norton Company and modified them to Integrated Tug Barges during 2006 and 2007. The 21,500 ton and 25,500 ton vessels, respectively, have sailed for the past three seasons hauling primarily stone from the Michigan quarries to various destinations on Lakes Huron, Erie and Michigan.

The sale allows the sister company KK Integrated Logistics to focus its assets on its real estate and stevedoring operations.
